Is your idea of vacation or retirement drifting down the canals of France? Or were you thinking rather of a power-yacht cruising at 15 knots between Mediterranean ports?

  Why not both?

Here at Riomar, Catalonia, Spain, our experienced workforce makes 78 foot motor yachts that can comfortably explore the canals of France and also swiftly cruise across the open Mediterranean and Atlantic due to their trimaran hulls and TWO INTERCHANGEABLE OUTBOARD MOTORS of different sizes. Our yachts set the new standard of pleasure craft, as their design allows their owners to tour virtually ANYWHERE in Europe where there is either a seacoast, navigable river, or a canal, with amazing economy! For instance, in one of our yachts you can travel the 800 miles from Paris via the charming Canal du Nivernais (with 15HP motor) and the Saone and Rhone Rivers, thence down the coast of Spain to Ibiza (with 115HP motor) all in a leisurely three weeks on just one tank (200 gallons) of gasoline. Please compare this cost of fuel against 21 days of hotels, car rental and ferry --- travel by our yacht is much cheaper and more leisurely and enjoyable!

Our yachts have an interior floor space of 950 square feet with 7'2" or higher ceilings throughout, plus over 200 square feet of open deck "terrazzo" in the sun or under a quickly erected foldable canopy, as you prefer. It takes one person just three minutes to set up the table, seating, and canopy for a party of six on the upper deck. A dumb-waiter sends your meals and drinks up without spilling a drop.

A 20 sq.ft. swimming platform can be swung open from the aft to just 2 feet above the water. Its 72" open-sided ladder into the water helps make this safe for children and easy for SCUBA divers to climb aboard. A secure fishing chair can optionally be fixed near the taffrail.

You can be independant anywhere for days or weeks --- solar powered, with a substantial bank of marine batteries, you need never plug in at a marina. Your filtered potable water comes from a 100 sq.ft. rain-catch (62 gallons per inch of rainfall).

You can buy one of our yachts for about what you might pay for a well located, similarly sized terraced apartment or house in Spain or France. And you will not have property taxes, community fees, or other nuisances of land-home ownership (such as annoying and nosy neighbors!)  Anchor in many glamorous locations for little or no cost, yet have the prestige of a large-yacht owner.

The base price of one of our yachts is just US$579,000 (399,000 Euros). This price includes the 200 sq.ft. master bedroom and bath, fully equipped galley, clothes washer and dryer, electric water heater, your option of forced-air or hot-water radiator heating, low-power but bright LED ceiling lighting throughout, 12HP bow thruster, 15HP Honda outboard motor, 980W of solar panels, marine batteries, 15KW DC-AC inverter, the full complement of safety equipment, a forward pilot station with VHF radio and GPS and a fold-down flying bridge atop aft, both with full engine controls. Although still awaiting your inspiration to furnish the cabin, this base yacht has all the necessities for canal travel.

With its aluminum hull, frame, and watertight skin, maintenance is less than any other type of boat. It is the lightest conceivable craft of its size, so it gets excellent speed and fuel efficiency.

We can custom outfit the cabin space according to your wishes. Additional is your choice of interior extras, such as second and third bedrooms and baths, galley extras, up to 300 feet of book shelves, forward view-room furnishings, bar, TV and music systems, air-conditioning, spa/hot-tub, inflatable tender, scooter and bicycles for land excursions, radar and other marine electronics, and the larger outboard motor for sea passages. We offer a variety of motors as large as the Yamaha 350HP V-8. A typical sum for the extras is $87,000 (60,000 Euros).

Shop around! You will find that similarly sized yachts typically cost six times as much, use perhaps twenty times the fuel per mile, and cannot squeeze through a French canal.

This yacht can easily be handled by two persons. For elderly or disabled persons, an elevator and widened ramps can be built in, and we have a referenced list of young persons who can capably handle the boat for you for moderate wages. If you have any complaints, your crew will be replaced immediately at the nearest port.

We ask $100,000 (69,000 Euros) when you order, which is 90% refundable should you back out for any reason. The remainder is payable when you commit to your custom interior design one month before the scheduled delivery date. At current production rates we promise your yacht will be ready in 4 months.
